High Desert Schooling Show Rules

1.Sign-ups start at 7:00 am, show starts at 8.am
2.Judge’s decision is final. Exhibitors may be dismissed for any reason.
3.Entries must be made on the official show entry form, class fees paid and a number issued before any horse will be allowed to enter              the ring for any class
4.Any NSF checks will incur a fee of $35.00, make checks payable to Hidden River Ranch
5.Classes may be combined or cancelled at the discretion of show management.
6.All class adds or scratches must be made at the show office at least 3 classes prior.
7.No alcoholic beverages permitted on show grounds.
8.Age of entrants is determined as of January 1st of show year.
9.Handlers of leadline riders must be at least 14 years of age. Riders feet must be in the stirrups and Protected headgear is required.
10.Ribbons awarded to first through third
11.All 1st & 2nd place entries in Halter classes are eligible to compete in Grand & Reserve Champion Halter Class at no charge.
12.No one under 18 to show a stallion.
13.‘Color’ to be judged 100% on color.
14.‘Green Horse’ is on the horse. Green horses are in their 1st or 2nd year showing.
15.Trail patterns and Hunter courses will be posted at the show office.
16.English Attire: boots / shirt/ breeches / helmet / coats optional. Jumping helmet must be ASTM approved.
17.Western Attire: boots / hat or helmet / shirt / jeans/ chaps optional.
18.Approved helmets are required for all youth riders and all entrants in over fences classes. Helmets are recommended for all riders in              all classes.
19.No dogs, no exceptions
20.Walk / Trot classes can be cross entered but will not count for High Point.
21.If you are going for High Point, Walk/Trot can only ride in Walk/Trot classes.
22.Riders showing for Daily High Point must designate the division they wish to compete in at the beginning of the show.
23.High Point is a one horse – one rider or handler combination. Each combination is a separate High Point.
24.Schooling is permitted. Please turn your number upside down. Schooling horses must conform to gaits called by show announcer. 2             minute gate call.
